Little Em.

Every month the Coffs coast produces a magazine called Focus. This month my Babe is the super star of the "meet the experts" section. Super stoked. Little Em is a Naturopath/Nutritionist and the proud owner of the Essential health clinic. She is also a mad blogger, click here to check out here health tips.

Hullness.

The last few days has been Pass madness. The most perfect little grinders, epic for any craft. Last night it was super crowded so I grabbed my fins and hand plane and got amongst it in hope to score a few sneaky ones. My friend Masa (out here from Japan) and I found this sick inside bank away from the crowd and we got our shred on. Loving the body womp. Pic above of Masa on a Vouch hull from Inbyronbaytoday

centerfold

The latest ALB (australian longboard mag) hit the shelves last week and Brett Caller scored the trifecta!!! he got his first ever cover shot care of a Dane Peterson speed blur... but it didn't stop there, inside he got a full pager taken by Mark Onorati in Sydney, and then he was the subject of choice for ALB's first lift-out poster, which I was stoked to have taken at little while back at Arrawarra point. It's probably the best ALB mag I've seen in a while, its new landscape format is really working well.

I was stoked to have shot the image that ended up been the poster.... but I think Bretto was way more stoked!! nice work bro

Minnie Waters Dunga day...

I shot down to Minnie Waters today to catch up with a few fellow old Mal lovers for the annual Rob West memorial Dunga day. The waves were fun but unfortunately not as epic as this shot of good mate and absolute old Mal shredder Isaac Fields at Noosa a few years back. I didn't hang around for the preso but I'm pretty sure that Issy took this one out... I know, what a surprise.

last wave in coffs

Had my last surf/photoshoot with Brett this morning before he headed back up the coast to Byron..... always enjoy surfing and shooting with ya bro. Catch up soon!

this pic taken before 7am today.. just up the road from little Em's pad.

Back to Uni.

Yew yew yew finally my car is packed and I'm off back up the coast to Byron for another year. I'll have loads of uni to do but I'm sure that I'll find plenty of time to shred the Pass.

Keith Paul

I recently got my hands (well feet rather) on a 1967 Keith Paul old mal. It's hands down the best old mal I've ever ridden. It turns on a dime and trims unbelievable. I find it amazing that some thing that was made such a long time ago can perform so good. I guess it shows that in terms of logging shapers back in the day were well a head of their time.

Oldy.

I got up nice and early this morning just in time to see the sunrise and to realise that the Northerly had not yet given up. So I headed down to this little northern corner near my house in hope to find a couple of fun little runners. Much to my surprise not only did I find some fun waves but Mr Oldfield himself. From that point on I knew it was going to be a great day. Nice to surf with you Nat.

Logging with friends

Last Saturday Sage, Maia and I packed up the van full of anything that floats and went in search of a northern corner in hope to find some little runners out of the wind. It was stinking hot, super windy and not very big but we were out there. Here's a few Stsurfimages just to show you what went on.
